We have a few favorite places that we spend more time at than others when we are home. Most of them share similar interior elements. A bit on the darker, victorian-esque with a rock n roll under tone mixed with an almost royal study type feel. The Bowery Hotel is at the top of our list. You never know how is going to be taking up residence at the bar for the night or sitting at a table near the fire place. The door man lets you bring you dog in as he considers himself a dog whisperer. The accents and decor in this place are second to none. The bar area feels as though you could be in a secret room in a castle or in an old speak easy that was frequented by New Yorks elite during prohibition. Attached to the bar is Gemma. An equally well laid out italian eatery. With little details that are so aplenty, you notice new ones each time you’re there. And if you’re us, that’s quite often.
